‘The purpose behind Workers’ Memorial Day has always been to “remember the dead: fight for the living”.

Workers Memorial Day is commemorated throughout the world and is officially recognised by the UK Government

In 2017 “Good Health and Safety for All Workers” we are all sickened by inequalities at work. Good Health and Safety no matter who you are.

Order of the day

11am: The Hub, Bold Street BL1 1LS      

Gather to assemble your banners. Join us for breakfast barms and a brew.

11.20am: Procession from the Hub down Newport Street to gather on the square.

Event starts, distribution of carnations, balloons, ribbons and flyers to inform the public why we are there.

11:30 am – Speeches commence

On the strike of 12 noon commence
